Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sultan Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Down with the sickness. The key to victory for Sultan Ramirez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Ramirez.

Dean changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramirez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ramirez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dean is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ramirez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dean's back instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ramirez has control of Dean's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dean regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dean feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
