Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josie Jo Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ishi Kiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ishi Kiki!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiki takes a swing at Ford's ribcage but misses.
Ford turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kiki shoots in for a double leg but Ford sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ford gets caught flat footed, as Kiki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kiki tries to free his leg and advance position but Ford is retaining full guard.
Kiki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kiki pushes down on Ford's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Josie Jo Ford will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kiki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ford can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ford, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
