Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Braydon Rae (ranked 2957 p4p, 3679 weight class) and Anderson Silva Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rae's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shocore - Right On. Silva Pereira is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Um Índio. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Braydon Rae! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anderson Silva Pereira! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rae throws a right hand that Silva Pereira ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva Pereira also avoids with ease. Silva Pereira tries to counter with a clinch but Rae shakes him off and moves away. Silva Pereira falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rae counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rae trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva Pereira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva Pereira wants to stand and escape but Rae is having none of it. Rae advances position into side control!
Rae thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rae tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva Pereira controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Rae tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rae has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva Pereira is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.  That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rae looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Silva Pereira is avoiding damage well.

Silva Pereira sneaks out the side door and pushes Rae away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Silva Pereira misses with a wild body shot. A kick lands to the mid section there for Silva Pereira. Silva Pereira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Rae counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rae stalling.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rae not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rae sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva Pereira defending well though. Silva Pereira won't allow Rae to pass to mount. Rae keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Silva Pereira is trying to stand.
Silva Pereira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rae. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silva Pereira blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rae. Rae seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva Pereira does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rae thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rae drops an elbow to the side of Silva Pereira's head. Rae uses his free foot to push down on Silva Pereira's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva Pereira.

Rae is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva Pereira to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva Pereira shrugs it off. Rae content just to control the position here. Rae unloads with some shots from mount but Silva Pereira bucks and avoids them well.
Rae is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silva Pereira can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rae moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Silva Pereira has worked his arm free - good work by Silva Pereira!
Rae cracks Silva Pereira with a big right hand but Silva Pereira just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Braydon Rae dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rae cracks Silva Pereira with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Silva Pereira lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Rae misses with a two punch combination.
Rae closes the distance and clinches up with Silva Pereira, looking for a takedown. Rae pushes Silva Pereira against the cage but Silva Pereira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A countering left hand to the body from Silva Pereira misses. Anderson Silva Pereira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rae doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silva Pereira counters with a big head kick but Rae shrugs it off. Rae looks to land a right hand but Silva Pereira moved out of range. Silva Pereira throws a series of strikes that have Rae backpedaling.
Anderson Silva Pereira seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rae cracks Silva Pereira with an open hand slap.
Rae is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva Pereira's half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that's the end of the fight! Braydon Rae showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rae, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Braydon Rae wins by unanimous decision! After the fight, Braydon Rae was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
