Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Walker Gregory (ranked 3955 p4p, 3921 weight class) and Khalil Leister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walker Gregory! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khalil Leister! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gregory is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Leister instigates a clinch. Leister is trying to pull guard but Gregory has him pressed against the cage.
Leister pulls guard. Leister working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gregory. Gregory trying to control the position from guard on top but Leister is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leister trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leister working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gregory. Leister has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Leister looking to control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Leister avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Leister drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gregory is wriggling around but Leister manages to pass to half guard.

Leister looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Gregory wants to control but Leister is keeping busy.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Leister is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gregory wants to get back to his feet.
Gregory is trying to maintain the position but Leister is very close to passing his half guard. Gregory wants to get back to his feet.
Gregory is trying to get back to full guard. Leister lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister not doing much here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gregory tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Leister has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Gregory is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Leister controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Khalil Leister dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Leister has managed to clinch.
Gregory escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker Gregory is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Leister shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leister shoots in looking for a takedown but Gregory manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leister's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Leister has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Leister shoots in for a double leg but Gregory sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Walker Gregory has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khalil Leister.
Leister moves into range and clinches up with Gregory. Gregory is trying to pull guard but Leister turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Leister is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gregory's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gregory throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leister stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Gregory has closed the distance and engaged Leister in a clinch.
Gregory breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leister shoots in for a takedown but Gregory shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gregory goes for a double leg but Leister avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Leister continues to drive forward. Leister unleashes a big counter combination but Gregory bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Leister tries to pull guard but Gregory forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Gregory throws a knee to the head but misses.

Gregory pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Leister will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gregory throws a wild body kick that Leister sees coming a mile off.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Leister fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gregory avoids it really well and circles away. Gregory tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Leister drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gregory defends it well. A nice combination there by Gregory.
 It looks like Khalil Leister has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Gregory as Leister shoots in. Gregory is looking for a counter combo. Gregory fails in his attempt to clinch. It seemed like Leister was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gregory forces Leister back against the cage and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gregory tries for a takedown but Leister manages to get underhooks.

Gregory jabs Leister right on the nose. Leister blinks but takes it well. Leister tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gregory paws at him with a jab and circles away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gregory doesn't manage to clinch there - Leister circles away.

Gregory pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gregory gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gregory thows a leg kick but Leister checks it
and Leister counters with a takedown into side control. Leister throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Leister tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gregory misses with a strike from the bottom. Leister wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gregory keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Gregory can't do much from the bottom here. Gregory looking for a sweep but Leister has passed into full mount! Oh no! Leister takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gregory is trying to stand but he's just given Leister his back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leister loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Gregory hold on?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walker Gregory dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Khalil Leister's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Leister tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gregory sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leister somewhat. Walker Gregory is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leister throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gregory's waist but Gregory gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leister off to one side. Walker Gregory has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khalil Leister. Gregory fails with an attempt to clinch.

Gregory forces Leister back against the cage and clinches. Leister wants a takedown.

Gregory pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Leister takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Gregory blocks a head kick by Leister.

Leister breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gregory ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leister moves away. Leister shoots in but no luck this time. Leister takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gregory keeps the fight on the outside. Leister with a lazy takedown attempt letting Gregory counter with a right hand. Khalil Leister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Leister tries for a takedown but Gregory manages to get underhooks.

Gregory instigates a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gregory is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Leister is defending well. Leister is looking for a takedown.

Gregory closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gregory lands in his opponent's guard. Leister keeping moving, preventing Gregory from controlling successfully.

Leister is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gregory trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Leister trying to keep a closed guard but Gregory is proving a slippery customer.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Leister working a defensive guard but Gregory manages to pass into side control anyway.
Gregory tries to stand but Leister is controlling his head.
Gregory stands up and beckons Leister to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leister avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gregory wants to clinch up but Leister keeps it at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Walker Gregory showed his dominance in that final round. I think Gregory has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
