Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fili Carniero (ranked 2764 p4p, 4034 weight class) and Braydon Rae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rae comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shocore - Right On kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fili Carniero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Braydon Rae!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rae darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Carniero wants to control but Rae is keeping busy.
Carniero pushes Rae off looking to stand but Rae dives back in and keeps control.
Rae is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Rae looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rae is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rae is pressing down on Carniero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carniero is holding on for now.
Carniero trying to hold on to Rae's head to control him but Rae postures up.
Rae working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carniero throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rae seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rae drops an elbow to the side of Carniero's head.

Rae is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carniero defends it well.
Rae prevents Carniero from improving his position.
Carniero seems to have got his legs back now.
Rae has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rae perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rae wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carniero keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carniero is defending against the submission attempts here by Rae.
Rae looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Carniero is staying active underneath Rae, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rae is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carniero doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rae.

Carniero wants to get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rae wants to pass to mount but Carniero is defending the position.

Rae is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Carniero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rae on the ground.
Rae winds up and cracks Carniero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Braydon Rae was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
