Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magomed Pereira (ranked 832 p4p, 1340 weight class) and Kevin Tyson (ranked 113 p4p, 168 weight class). Pereira's entrance music is SEPULTURA - ITSARI. A fine choice. Tyson has chosen Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem as his entrance music. Kevin Tyson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Magomed Pereira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Tyson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Tyson. No joy for Pereira on that attempt. Tyson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pereira counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tyson! Tyson tries to escape but Pereira is in control. Tyson defending against the ground and pound. Pereira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tyson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pereira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pereira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tyson, who protects the arm well. Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Pereira drags him back down. Pereira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working. Tyson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pereira lands a few punches from side control. Tyson pushes Pereira away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pereira gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tyson sneaks out the side door and pushes Pereira away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Pereira closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tyson to the mat! Tyson manages to get full guard. Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Pereira passes into half guard.
Pereira is trying to control. Tyson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pereira has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tyson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Pereira moves out of range of the strikes. Pereira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pereira bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pereira is defended easily by Tyson. A little jabbing left from Tyson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tyson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pereira drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tyson sprawls and moves away. Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Pereira, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magomed Pereira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tyson leaves Pereira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pereira.

Tyson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Tyson misses with an uppercut. Pereira saw that one coming. Pereira appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Tyson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pereira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tyson wants to stand and escape but Pereira is having none of it. Pereira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pereira passes into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyson can do anything to dispel that myth. Pereira wants to free his trapped foot but Tyson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tyson wants to get back to his feet.
Pereira scoring with strikes to the body and head. Pereira takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pereira controlling the action here.

Tyson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pereira is on him like a limpet, forcing Tyson back against the cage.
Pereira has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tyson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Tyson is trying to get back to his feet but Pereira has full control of the position and if anything, Tyson has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tyson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Pereira's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pereira slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Tyson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Pereira struggling to keep hold of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kevin Tyson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Pereira tries for a takedown but Tyson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tyson misses with a looping right. Tyson lands a glancing blow to the side of Pereira's head. Nice uppercut there from Tyson. Tyson throws a looping overhand right but Pereira ducks down to avoid it. Pereira shoots in but Tyson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pereira tries for a takedown but Tyson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magomed Pereira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pereira slips a straight right by Tyson. Kevin Tyson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tyson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pereira's head backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pereira tries to clinch but Tyson is having none of it. Tyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pereira tries to counter by clinching up but Tyson breaks away and moves out of range. Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tyson swats away the attempt to clinch by Pereira. Pereira tries to clinch up but Tyson circles away and keeps his distance.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Tyson lands a big uppercut and Pereira crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pereira looks OK. Tyson waves Pereira back to his feet!
 Pereira is rocked! Crack! Tyson connects with the perfect overhand right and Pereira falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Tyson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kevin Tyson! A very excited looking Kevin Tyson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. In defeat, Magomed Pereira stepped up to the mic, saying 'No Chama!'.
