Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yanhi Buentello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rousimar Pellegrino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pellegrino comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buentello shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buentello cracks Pellegrino with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Buentello can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pellegrino is looking to escape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buentello accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Buentello changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pellegrino looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Buentello misses with a head kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pellegrino crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Buentello - the referee stops the clock and Pellegrino gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Buentello. Pellegrino manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Buentello counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pellegrino's guard now.

Pellegrino had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Buentello is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pellegrino Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Buentello's back instead.

Buentello is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
