PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Marduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marduk has chosen Trick Daddy- Lets Go as his entrance music. Bruce Marduk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Mendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Marduk!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marduk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marduk throws a push kick but Mendez slaps the foot to one side.
Marduk pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mendez tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Mendez moves into the clinch.
Marduk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mendez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mendez leaves Marduk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mendez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mendez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

BOOM! Mendez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mendez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
