Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arlington Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Tyson.
Hardy is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.
Hardy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tyson.
Hardy fails with a takedown attempt.
Hardy shoots and misses
letting Tyson counter with a right hand.
Tyson throws a body punch but Hardy moves out of range.
Hardy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tyson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by Hardy.
Hardy slips a jab and a cross from Tyson.
Tyson misses with a double jab.
Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Hardy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kevin Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arlington Hardy.
Tyson throws a nice looking combination but Hardy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson goes for a small jab and connects. Now Tyson goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hardy stumbles back but Tyson runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hardy to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hardy will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kevin Tyson!
In his post fight interview, Kevin Tyson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
