Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kawainui Perry (ranked 162 p4p, 174 weight class) and Diego Macaco (ranked 27 p4p, 29 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Macaco's choice of entrance music: Can’t Touch This. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kawainui Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Macaco! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perry lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Macaco has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Macaco and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Macaco! But no joy. Perry lands a slapping body shot.
Macaco lands a jab. Perry cracks a nice hook into Macaco's ribs. Perry looks to score with a jab to the body but Macaco is just out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Macaco darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Macaco throws a right and a left that Perry avoids nicely. Perry wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Perry ducks under a wild hook from Macaco.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Macaco looks to throw the jab but Perry is out of range. A little feinted left hand from Perry on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Macaco ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Macaco - that will leave a mark!
Nice uppercut lands for Macaco. That snapped Perry's head back.
Macaco throws a looping overhand right but Perry ducks down to avoid it. Perry checks the leg kick nicely there.
An inside leg kick from Perry misses. Perry looks to land a left hand but Macaco moved out of range nicely. Perry has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Macaco finds it's way round the side to connect with Perry's head. The fighters circling - Perry throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Perry misses with a body kick. It seemed like Macaco was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry connects with a body shot that sends Macaco's belly button to the back. Macaco lets loose with a powerful body kick. Perry will feel that in the morning. Perry blocks the body kick.

Perry is looking to counter the offense by Macaco and move into the clinch. Macaco thows a leg kick but Perry checks it

Macaco fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Perry has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Macaco. Perry rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Diego Macaco seems to be getting the better of the standup. Macaco works the jab nicely. Macaco scores with a sloppy right hand. Perry should have avoided that one. Perry takes a kick to the side of the head. Macaco checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Perry walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Macaco checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Macaco is looking to chop away at Perry's legs. Macaco is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Perry. A jab from Perry finds it's way through Macaco's defenses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Macaco scores with a nice right hand.

Perry is looking to wear down Macaco with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Macaco throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Perry jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Macaco takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Perry lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A big left from Perry misses. Perry connects with the punch. Perry looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Macaco throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Macaco misses with a low kick. Perry is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Macaco. Macaco finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Perry seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Perry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Diego Macaco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perry walks into a straight right hand from Macaco. Macaco moves out of range of the leg kick from Perry. Perry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Macaco manages to avoid it. Macaco appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Perry misses the shot to the body. Macaco moves out of range of the strikes.

Macaco fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Macaco is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Perry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Macaco. Macaco lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Macaco cracks a nice hook into Perry's ribs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Macaco misses with a looping left. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Perry dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Macaco. That did some damage! Macaco misses with an uppercut. Perry shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Macaco throws out a counter right but Perry avoids it with no problem. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Macaco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kawainui Perry's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Perry is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Perry fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Macaco looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Macaco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This has been an exciting period of action! Macaco throws a hook but Perry avoids it easily. Macaco throws an off balance right hand
and Perry counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Macaco takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Perry scores with a sloppy right hand. Macaco should have avoided that one. Macaco throws a jab when Perry was well out of range. Perry lands a jab to the head.
Perry thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Macaco if he has to take too many more of those.

and Perry counters with a body kick that stops Macaco in his tracks momentarily. Macaco takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Macaco throws a big shot that misses. It looked like Perry wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Perry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Perry throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Perry fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Macaco has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Perry. Perry staying out of range there. Perry throws a wild body kick that Macaco sees coming a mile off. Macaco throws a lazy uppercut
and Perry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Diego Macaco is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perry is looking to land body kicks. A little jabbing left from Macaco on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Perry throws out a loose jab but Macaco uses good head movement to avoid it. Perry misses with an uppercut. Macaco misses with a low kick. Perry seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Perry staying out of range there. Macaco scores with a nice head shot. Kawainui Perry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Macaco throws a looping overhand right but Perry ducks down to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kawainui Perry showed his dominance in that final round. Well Macaco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Diego Macaco! A very excited looking Diego Macaco rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
