Itinya gets caught flat footed, as Macker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Macker (2) vs (0) Itinya
Itinya throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Macker escapes and throws Itinya's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Macker (5) vs (0) Itinya Macker tries to advance to mount but Itinya denies him. Itinya wants to control but Macker postures up. Itinya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Macker tries to advance to mount but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Itinya gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Macker seems content to control. Macker wants to pass to mount but Itinya is defending the position. Itinya controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Macker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Itinya knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Macker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Itinya is looking to escape. Macker wants to control but instead Itinya manages to regain half guard.
Itinya looking for submissions off his back.
Itinya is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Macker pulls his head out easily. Macker prevents Itinya from improving his position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Itinya is refusing to be controlled, as Macker sits in half guard. Macker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Itinya is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Macker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Macker's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Macker (8) vs (4) Itinya Macker is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Macker trying to control the action but Itinya just sinks the hooks in. Macker wants to escape the position.
Itinya is looking for the choke from the back position but Macker is controlling his hands well. Our spies down at at Globo Gym (5000) inform us that Itinya has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Macker trying to control the position but Itinya manages to sink in the hooks. Itinya has the hooks in. Macker is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. A lull in the action here.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Macker tries to roll but Itinya sticks to his back.
Itinya is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Macker has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Itinya has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Macker taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Itinya doesn't care though - he's delighted!
