And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 19 losses; Christian Dresner! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Dresner takes the fight into the clinch. Dresner has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Goodman after a bit of a struggle.

We've been hearing that Goodman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dresner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Goodman's guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Goodman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dresner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goodman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Goodman stays in close to Dresner's body and controls the position.

Dresner looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Goodman has picked Dresner up and slammed him! Dresner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Goodman slows the pace down. Dresner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Dresner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goodman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dresner is pressing down on Goodman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
