Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Poliyuz Povetkin (ranked 5061 p4p, 4178 weight class) and Mikolaj Kubacki (ranked 0 p4p, 309 weight class). Povetkin comes into the arena with Simply the best blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kubacki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Povetkin sprawls well. Povetkin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kubacki gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Kubacki.
Kubacki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kubacki is defended easily by Povetkin.

Kubacki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Povetkin walks away with a smile on his face. Kubacki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Povetkin closes the distance and clinches up with Kubacki, looking for a takedown. Povetkin pushes Kubacki against the cage but Kubacki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kubacki gets tackled into the cage by Povetkin. Povetkin maintains the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Poliyuz Povetkin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Povetkin goes for a double leg but Kubacki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kubacki continues to drive forward.

Well Kubacki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
