Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Sims (ranked 4206 p4p, 4315 weight class) and Toru Tanaka (ranked 306 p4p, 311 weight class). Tanaka has chosen Tanaka Fight - Shigeru Umebayashi as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Demetrius Sims!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toru Tanaka!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka lands a nice looking body shot.
Sims misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sims forces Tanaka back against the cage and clinches.
Tanaka lands a body punch in the clinch.
Sims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tanaka lands a jab.
Tanaka buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sims throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sims lands a head kick. Tanaka smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Tanaka gets tackled into the cage by Sims. Sims maintains the clinch.
Tanaka stops a takedown attempt from Sims.
Tanaka tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tanaka works on Sims's body with a couple of short punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sims pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tanaka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tanaka goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sims gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tanaka fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sims has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sims takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sims blocks a head kick by Tanaka.
Tanaka scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tanaka buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sims looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sims closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sims fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sims ducks right into an uppercut from Tanaka.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sims stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tanaka.
Sims swinging wildly here.
Tanaka is looking for the big counter here.
Sims closes the distance and clinches up with Tanaka, looking for a takedown. Sims pushes Tanaka against the cage but Tanaka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demetrius Sims. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tanaka lands a brutal head kick. Sims looks out on his feet and Tanaka throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
