This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 7 losses; Frederick Lee ! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Jadon Khan! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Khan to score an easy takedown into full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Lee (0) vs (2) Khan
Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Khan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've been hearing good reports from Lee 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Khan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Khan defends it easily.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lee looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.

Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khan regains full guard. Nicely done. Khan trying to control the position here. Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
