Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Billy Butcher (ranked 2362 p4p, 2157 weight class) and Kova Luu (ranked 260 p4p, 242 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butcher checks a leg kick nicely.
Butcher connects with a right hand. Luu shakes it off.
Butcher misses with a wild body shot.
Butcher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Luu.
Butcher tests Luu's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Luu moves in looking to clinch but Butcher pushes him off.
Luu tries to land a front kick but Butcher steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Butcher works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Butcher misses the target.
Luu throws a push kick but Butcher slaps the foot to one side.
Butcher swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Butcher finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Butcher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Luu counters quickly with a head kick that drops Butcher to the mat! The referee starts the count at 3 - will Butcher be able to get back to his feet in time? 4,5,6, he's up. He looks OK so we'll continue the action!

Luu is looking to slow Butcher down with leg kicks.

Butcher digs a good body shot into Luu's ribs.
Luu looks winded!
Butcher scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Luu to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Butcher away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Luu got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Butcher connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Luu's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Luu - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
