This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 8 losses; Jack Sullivan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 13 losses; Scott Dolton! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Sullivan closes the distance and pushes Dolton back into the cage. Dolton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sullivan.
Dolton is working for takedown but Sullivan is calmly controlling the position for now. Sullivan is defending well against a takedown attempt. Sullivan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dolton prevents it.
Sullivan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dolton walks away with a smile on his face. Sullivan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Sullivan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sullivan clinches up with Dolton and pushes him back against the cage.
Dolton has clasped his hands together around Sullivan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Sullivan (0) vs (4) Dolton Sullivan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Dolton controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dolton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sullivan has escaped the position, nice work there. Sullivan is trying to get back to half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sullivan trying to remain calm as Dolton controls from the top position. Dolton trying to control the action but Sullivan is working from the bottom. Dolton staying calm. Sullivan is not content to let Dolton control the position. Sullivan holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan tries to improve position but can't.
Dolton tries for a kimura but Sullivan is defending well. My spies in Xanjutsu inform me that Dolton has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Sullivan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sullivan is trying to control but Dolton manages to pass to mount!

Dolton has control of Sullivan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sullivan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sullivan is just holding on here. Dolton manages to take his back.

Dolton is cranking Sullivan's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Sullivan! He's tightened the choke and Sullivan is tapping out!
