Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Strickland.
Lawson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Strickland.
Lawson takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Strickland sets himself, and Lawson steps forward looking for the clinch! Strickland avoids it this time.

Strickland leaves Lawson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lawson looks to land a body kick but Strickland moved away.
Strickland throws out a loose jab but Lawson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Collin Strickland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lawson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Strickland throws out the jab.

and Strickland counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lawson drops his hands momentarily. Strickland doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Lawson staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Lawson doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
