Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Rubaiy (ranked 5289 p4p, 3728 weight class) and Silva Da Silva (ranked 438 p4p, 372 weight class). Rubaiy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Invisible. Silva Da Silva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Silva Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubaiy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Da Silva connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Da Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Da Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Da Silva displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Rubaiy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Da Silva pinned against the cage. Da Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rubaiy looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rubaiy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rubaiy prevents Da Silva from getting back to his feet.
Da Silva manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Da Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Rubaiy has double underhooks.

Rubaiy tries to pull guard but Da Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Rubaiy drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mehdi Rubaiy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Da Silva breaks the clinch.
Da Silva pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rubaiy back to the cage. Da Silva follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rubaiy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Da Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Silva Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rubaiy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rubaiy shoots in and drives through. Da Silva sprawls well.
Da Silva looks to land a combination. Rubaiy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rubaiy is breathing heavily.
Oooooh!!! Da Silva has knocked Rubaiy down with a huge combo! Da Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Rubaiy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rubaiy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oh Rubaiy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Da Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rubaiy seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice shot lands for Da Silva.
Da Silva lands a big uppercut and Rubaiy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rubaiy looks OK. Da Silva waves Rubaiy back to his feet!
Da Silva closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Rubaiy out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Silva Da Silva!
A relieved looking Silva Da Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
