In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 8 losses; Spud Grubbins! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 7 losses; Trey Moreno! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Grubbins keeps the fight on the outside. Grubbins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Moreno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Grubbins defends it well. Moreno tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moreno gets a double leg takedown into Grubbins's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Grubbins (0) vs (2) Moreno Moreno not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Moreno looking to pass the guard.

Moreno is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grubbins defends it well. Grubbins is trying to get back to full guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Moreno looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Moreno looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Moreno is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Grubbins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moreno pulls his head out easily.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Moreno in particular looking to stall. Moreno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grubbins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Moreno has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. It looks like Moreno might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Grubbins is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Moreno is riding his opponent, not letting Grubbins buck him off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
