Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikey Musumeci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes gets caught napping as Musumeci dives in and scores a takedown. Hayes manages to retain guard.
Hayes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Musumeci is one step ahead there.
Hayes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Musumeci has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hayes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hayes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Musumeci's waist but Musumeci gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hayes off to one side.
Hayes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Musumeci is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hayes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
