Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Gray (ranked 2657 p4p, 23203 weight class) and Bráulio Etxeberria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ezra Gray has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezra Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bráulio Etxeberria!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray takes the fight into the clinch.
Etxeberria drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gray pulls his leg out and moves away.
Etxeberria takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Etxeberria gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gray counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Etxeberria shoots in for a takedown but Gray shows good takedown defense.
Ezra Gray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bráulio Etxeberria.
Etxeberria throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gray's waist but Gray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Etxeberria off to one side.
Gray turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gray tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gray feints and then cracks Etxeberria's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Etxeberria down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Etxeberria shoots in but Gray avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Gray makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Etxeberria really felt that one!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Etxeberria closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Etxeberria lands in his opponent's guard.
Gray is looking to stand back up but Etxeberria counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gray.

Gray wants to get back to his feet.
Etxeberria wants to pass the guard but Gray is defending well.
Etxeberria is taking a breather. Gray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Gray counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Gray is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Etxeberria fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gray sprawls well initially but Etxeberria persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gray looks like he's trying to stand up.

Etxeberria is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gray on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gray tries to get out of the position.

Etxeberria seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
My spies in Alpha Brasil inform me that Etxeberria has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Etxeberria is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gray is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Bráulio Etxeberria thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
