Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Smif (ranked 878 p4p, 1413 weight class) and John Boy Walton (ranked 108 p4p, 176 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Boy Walton!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smif uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Walton.
Walton lands with a straight right. Smif didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Will Smif has been cut.
Walton blocks a head kick by Smif.
Smif drops his hands momentarily and Walton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Smif swings for the body but Walton moves out of range.
Smif ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Smif throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

John Boy Walton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walton looks to score with a jab to the body but Smif is just out of range.
Smif will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Smif on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Walton misses with a body shot.
We've been told by Smif's head coaches at Thib's Sweat Shoppe that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smif's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Walton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smif scrambles back to his feet.
Walton moves out of range of the body kick.
Walton looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Walton misses with a kick to the body
and Smif counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Walton lands a big right hand that sends Smif crashing to the mat! Walton stays standing though and waves Smif back to his feet!

Walton throws an overhand right that lands on Smif's shoulder, as Smif tries to avoid the shot.
Walton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smif throws a body punch but Walton moves out of range.

Walton misses with a hook to the body
and Smif connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smif pivots, looking for a leg kick but Walton is out of range and Smif settles back down.

Smif uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walton.

Walton keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Smif paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Smif steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walton.

and Smif counters with an outside leg kick.
Walton misses with a lunging right hand
and Smif counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Smif connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Walton is rocked!
Smif lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
