Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Walay Buut (ranked 23480 p4p, 23197 weight class) and Higanti Libat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higanti Libat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 77 - 64 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 61 - 81 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Libat displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buut.
Libat doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Buut counters with a big head kick but Libat shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buut shoots in for a takedown but Libat shows good takedown defense.
Buut moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromLibat.

Buut closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Libat's guard.

Buut is fighting to break Libat's control of his arms but Libat is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Buut is pushing down on Libat's leg trying to pass to half guard. Libat is fighting to maintain full guard but Buut has managed to sneak the leg through.
Libat has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buut is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buut is controlling the pace.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Buut misses with a body kick.
Libat follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

and Libat counters with a low kick, right behind Buut 's knee.

Libat dives in and grabs Buut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes down on Libat's head and hops out.
Buut is looking to counter with a body kick.

Buut drives through with a takedown into guard.

Libat manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Libat misses the shot to the body.

Buut fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Libat to the ground. Buut is now in Libat's guard.

Buut wants to control from the top but Libat keeps moving.
Buut is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Libat has control of Buut's left arm, preventing Buut from doing any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Buut tries to lock up and control but Libat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Buut is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Libat is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Higanti Libat has got the better of the ground game so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Higanti Libat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Buut fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Libat counters with a body kick.
Buut shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Buut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Libat replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buut blocks it well.
Libat misses with a takedown attempt - Buut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As Libat backs away, Buut returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Libat gets caught napping as Buut dives in and scores a takedown. Libat manages to retain guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Libat has control of Buut's left arm, preventing Buut from doing any damage.
Libat looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Buut is looking to stand up but Libat won't let him.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Libat holds on and takes a little breather.

Libat shoots in looking for a takedown. Buut tries to sprawl out of it but Libat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buut manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And Buut counters with a quick kick to the body but Libat blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Walay Buut showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Buut has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
