Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Roberts (ranked 25505 p4p, 4372 weight class) and Bruno Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Roberts has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Azevedo! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts has taken the fight to the clinch.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Roberts just stands there and leans against the cage. Azevedo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Roberts walks away with a smile on his face. Azevedo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Azevedo enables Roberts to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Azevedo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Roberts is standing up over Azevedo. Azevedo looks to escape but Roberts dives into side control.

Roberts stands up. Roberts walks into a straight right hand from Azevedo. Azevedo shoots in and drives through. Roberts sprawls well. Brian Roberts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Azevedo.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts on the wrong end of a nice jab. Azevedo moves into range and connects with a jab. Roberts displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Azevedo. Azevedo misses with the combination.
Roberts seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Roberts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Roberts not landing any meaningful shots this time. Roberts performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Roberts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roberts escapes and gets back to his feet.
Roberts scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Azevedo tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roberts looking to control and managing it successfully.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Azevedo has given up his back. Will we see Roberts going for some submissions?
Roberts looking to break Azevedo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Azevedo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Roberts will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Azevedo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roberts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Azevedo is trying to stand back up. Roberts biding his time, looking for the opening.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Roberts working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Azevedo is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Roberts has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Azevedo taps out!
