Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23537 p4p, 23397 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 46 - 92 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 64 - 77 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Salvacion is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl out of it but Salvacion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amiga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amiga but Amiga pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for Salvacion with that takedown attempt. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Salvacion.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Amiga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Amiga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amiga wants to get back to his feet but Salvacion drags him back down. Amiga tries to buck Salvacion off but Salvacion is having none of it. Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Amiga seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet. Salvacion is trying to counter with his kicks.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Salvacion was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Amiga throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Rico Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far. Salvacion remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Salvacion misses with a body kick. Amiga looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Salvacion with a poor takedown
and Amiga decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Salvacion's guard. Amiga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Salvacion holds on and takes a little breather. Amiga engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Amiga showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salvacion bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Amiga's guard.
Amiga has Salvacion pulled in close to control his posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tapad Amiga will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Amiga as he avoids it easily. And Amiga counters with a quick kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it. Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Amiga on that attempt. Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well. Salvacion moves out of range as Amiga throws a body kick.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Amiga looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Amiga working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Amiga sitting and controlling from the half guard. Salvacion is holding on to half guard well.
Amiga is trying to work for a kimura but Salvacion is defending well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga controlling the action here.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Salvacion with a poor takedown and Amiga counters with a body kick. Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Salvacion. Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away. Amiga tried to counter with a leg kick but Salvacion avoided it. Amiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Amiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground. Salvacion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Salvacion is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amiga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amiga off to one side. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Salvacion shoots in and drives through. Amiga sprawls well.
Salvacion scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Amiga is looking for a sweep. Salvacion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tapad Amiga. I think Amiga has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
