Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Stegfelt (ranked 3027 p4p, 3298 weight class) and Alexander Schafer (ranked 303 p4p, 335 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glenn Stegfelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Schafer! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schafer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Schafer lands in his opponent's guard. Stegfelt pulls Schafer in close to his closed guard and prevents Schafer from doing any damage or advancing position. Schafer postures up and lands a big shot to Stegfelt's brow. Stegfelt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schafer on the ground. Schafer controlling from the top position. Stegfelt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Schafer has passed into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stegfelt is trying to improve his position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Schafer wants to control but Stegfelt is keeping him busy. Stegfelt is looking to reverse the position. Schafer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stegfelt is not content to let Schafer control the position. Stegfelt is trying to improve his position. Schafer taking a breather here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Schafer working away. What's Stegfelt going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Stegfelt is looking for a sweep. Schafer has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Stegfelt! Stegfelt tries to reverse the position but Schafer maintains control. Stegfelt reaches up to try and control the position but Schafer seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Stegfelt rolls and tries to escape and now Schafer has his back!
 That's three minutes gone in the round.

Schafer looking to break Stegfelt's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Stegfelt remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Schafer will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Stegfelt trying to get back to his feet but Schafer is in full control for now. Schafer punishes Stegfelt with strikes from the back mount. Stegfelt trying to control the position but Schafer manages to sink in the hooks. Stegfelt is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Schafer has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stegfelt has freed his hand and lives to survive another� well, another couple of seconds at least!
Stegfelt is covering up but some of the strikes from Schafer are getting through and doing damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stegfelt trying to control the hands but Schafer breaks the grip. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Schafer dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Stegfelt moves into the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Stegfelt.
Stegfelt displaying some good clinch control by pressing Schafer up against the cage. Schafer tries to break the clinch but Stegfelt is controlling the position. Schafer tries for a takedown but Stegfelt manages to get underhooks.
Schafer's coach down at Mr. Swing Kings Top MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schafer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Stegfelt misses with the head strike.
Schafer blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Stegfelt digs a right hand into Schafer's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Schafer's gas tank. Stegfelt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Schafer backwards. Stegfelt lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Schafer is breathing heavily. Stegfelt lands a hook to the side of the head. A short uppercut from Stegfelt. Stegfelt lands a nice uppercut.

Stegfelt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A nice left hand lands by Stegfelt.

Stegfelt lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Stegfelt scores with an uppercut up the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stegfelt lands with a right to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stegfelt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
 Schafer is rocked! Stegfelt lands with a short shot to the head. Schafer is still on wobbly legs! Can Stegfelt finish him? Stegfelt digs a right hand underneath Schafer's ribcage. Schafer let out a lung full of air as it connected. Schafer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stegfelt lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Schafer to his knees! Stegfelt keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glenn Stegfelt! Our winner, Glenn Stegfelt, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
