Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Noeigati (ranked 100 p4p, 422 weight class) and Roman Kersikov (ranked 18 p4p, 61 weight class). Noeigati comes into the arena with Cremation of Sam McGee blaring out of the sound system. Kersikov has chosen 2 Best Enemies - Phases as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 29 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Noeigati! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov thows a left - swing and a miss! Nice uppercut there from Noeigati. Kersikov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Noeigati. Kersikov feints the counter takedown. Noeigati tries to move into range but Kersikov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kersikov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kersikov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kersikov is looking to take a break and control but Noeigati is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kersikov working the strikes but Noeigati uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Noeigati avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kersikov. Noeigati is refusing to be controlled, as Kersikov sits in half guard. Kersikov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kersikov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Noeigati does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Noeigati is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Noeigati blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kersikov. Noeigati is looking for a sweep. Kersikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kersikov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Noeigati's coaches at Dissolution Elite Training Facility have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kersikov trying to control the pace.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kersikov connects with a nice short shot to Noeigati's temple. Kersikov is trying to control the action in half guard but Noeigati is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kersikov not doing much here.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Noeigati takes one to the chin there.

Kersikov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Noeigati throws out the jab. Kersikov works Noeigati's body with a nice hook. Donk. Kersikov catches Noeigati right on the button with a cross. Kersikov lands a right hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kersikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov lands a couple of elbows. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Noeigati keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kersikov throws a big right hand that misses. Kersikov trying to control but Noeigati is working from the bottom. Kersikov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kersikov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Noeigati keeps moving.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kersikov controls from within his opponent's guard. Kersikov landing some decent shots from guard. Roman Kersikov has got the better of the ground game so far. Kersikov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kersikov is continuing to stall. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Let's hope that Kersikov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kersikov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Noeigati walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Noeigati needs to keep his hands up - Kersikov had a free shot at his head there. Noeigati bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kersikov's head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kersikov staying out of range there. Kersikov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Roman Kersikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Noeigati takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kersikov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Noeigati manages to avoid it. Kersikov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Noeigati doesn't seem bothered though. Kersikov lands a slapping body shot.

Benjamin Noeigati is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Noeigati loads up on a big right hand but Kersikov slips the punch. Kersikov moves out of range of the leg kick from Noeigati. Noeigati gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Noeigati throws a shot from downtown. Kersikov moves away and avoids it. Noeigati missing with a left hand there. Kersikov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Noeigati moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kersikov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that's the end of the fight! Roman Kersikov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kersikov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
