Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Calvin Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuhei Sawamura!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Sawamura.
Sawamura misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sawamura misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cannon feinted with a counter takedown.
Sawamura misses with a body shot
and Sawamura takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Ryuhei Sawamura has been cut.
Sawamura changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cannon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cannon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sawamura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cannon pulls his head out easily.
Sawamura is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cannon jumps into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cannon has control of an arm but Sawamura manages to advance to Cannon's back!

Cannon tries to escape but Sawamura has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sawamura has Cannon flattened out and is raining down punches.
Cannon looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Sawamura has the hooks in. Cannon is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sawamura is persistently looking for the submission but Cannon is defending it well.
Sawamura is hanging on to Cannon's back as he tries to escape.
Cannon just trying to survive but Sawamura is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Cannon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Sawamura is trying to stick to Cannon's back but Cannon is turning into Sawamura. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sawamura's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cannon.
Cannon is standing up over Sawamura. Sawamura looks to escape but Cannon dives into side control.
Sawamura pushes Cannon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cannon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Sawamura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cannon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sawamura tries to bench press Cannon off him but Cannon keeps the position.
Sawamura tries to escape but Cannon is in control.
Sawamura is wriggling around trying to escape but Cannon has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Sawamura taps out and Cannon picks up the big win! Great work there by Cannon!
