Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allejo Madera (ranked 2151 p4p, 24314 weight class) and Dwight Shrute (ranked 237 p4p, 463 weight class). Shrute has chosen Battlestart Galactica theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Allejo Madera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 50 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dwight Shrute! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shrute is looking to clinch but Madera is avoiding it.
Madera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shrute tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Madera is in Shrute's guard. Madera lands a couple of digs. Madera postures up and lands a big shot to Shrute's brow. Madera showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Madera seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shrute for as long as he can get away with.
Madera stands up and waves to Shrute to follow him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Madera closes the distance and clinches.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Shrute wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Madera manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Shrute is fighting off a takedown attempt but Madera is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shrute to the mat. Shrute regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Madera's corner is telling him to maintain position. Shrute is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Madera is controlling him. Madera is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Madera in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shrute keeping moving, preventing Madera from controlling successfully.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Madera lands a couple of elbows. Shrute trying to keep a closed guard but Madera is proving a slippery customer.
Madera with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madera is working Shrute over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Madera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Madera sitting in guard, not really doing much. Madera continues to stall.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Madera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Madera moves into the clinch successfully.
Madera is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shrute can't fight it off and eventually Madera manages to take the fight to the floor. Shrute looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Madera gets to his feet - Shrute follows without any prompting. Madera defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shrute. Madera looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Madera drives through with a takedown into Shrute's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Madera trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Madera wants to control from the top but Shrute keeps moving.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Shrute is trying to keep Madera in close.
Madera distracts Shrute with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Madera works over Shrute with some ground and pound from guard. Madera chips away with some ground and pound. Madera slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Madera lands a couple of digs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shrute looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Allejo Madera dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Shrute shoots for a double leg takedown but Madera sprawls well. He's pushed Shrute's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Good leg kick by Madera.
Madera pushes Shrute up against the cage in a clinch. Madera looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Madera tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Madera lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Madera has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shrute defend it? Madera steps over the head and cranks it - Shrute is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Madera!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Allejo Madera!
