And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diziz Sparta Jr!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Sparta Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sparta Jr swings widly with a right hand
and Anderson counters with a stiff right hand.
Sparta Jr misses with a hook. Anderson ducked under it nicely.
Anderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sparta Jr sprawls well initially but Anderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Sparta Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sparta Jr pushes Anderson off and gets back to his feet.
Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sparta Jr is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Sparta Jr circles away and we're back to standing.
Sparta Jr misses with a right hand
and Anderson counters with a stiff right hand.
Anderson misses with the combination.
A little jabbing left from Sparta Jr on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sparta Jr cracks Anderson with an uppercut from hell and Anderson crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Sparta Jr's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Anderson is rocked!
Sparta Jr wants to get up but he can't break Anderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sparta Jr stands up and waves to Anderson to follow him.
Sparta Jr throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
Sparta Jr cracks Anderson on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Anderson falls backwards against the cage. Sparta Jr follows up with more strikes that drop Anderson to his knees. Sparta Jr keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Anderson! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diziz Sparta Jr!
Post fight, Diziz Sparta Jr took to the microphone: 'THIS IS SPARTA !!!'.
