Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Artur Saryev (ranked 2218 p4p, 2947 weight class) and Joanderson Yurchon (ranked 242 p4p, 303 weight class). Artur Saryev has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artur Saryev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joanderson Yurchon!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saryev tries to bum rush Yurchon with a series of wild strikes but Yurchon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yurchon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Saryev, pushing him back against the cage.
Saryev tries a knee to the head but Yurchon blocks it.
Saryev lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Yurchon.
Saryev with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Yurchon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Saryev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Yurchon lands with a short shot to the head.
Yurchon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Saryev regains guard immediately.
Saryev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yurchon manages to get himself to full guard.
Yurchon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saryev is controlling him.
Saryev stands up and waves to Yurchon to follow him.

Artur Saryev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joanderson Yurchon.
Saryev drives through and clinches with Yurchon against the cage.
Yurchon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Saryev is defending well.

Yurchon is trying to trip Saryev. He has hold of a leg but Saryev is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Yurchon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Yurchon working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Saryev wants to sweep but no luck.

Yurchon is in close to Saryev's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Saryev wants to stand up but Yurchon is controlling him.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Yurchon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saryev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Yurchon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Yurchon ducks right into an uppercut from Saryev.
Yurchon shoots for a takedown but Saryev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Saryev throws out a powerful jab.
Yurchon shoots in but Saryev avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yurchon just misses with a punch to the body.
Saryev tries to keep at a distance but Yurchon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Yurchon on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Saryev lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Yurchon or not.
Saryev misses with the head strike.
Saryev gets underhooks to prevent Yurchon's takedown attempt.
Yurchon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Saryev is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saryev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yurchon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yurchon's back!
Yurchon looking very determined here, making life difficult for Saryev.

Yurchon wants to get back to his feet.
Saryev is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Saryev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Artur Saryev dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Yurchon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As Yurchon looks to move away, Saryev throws a big counter combo but Yurchon just gets out of the way.
Saryev throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Artur Saryev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yurchon gets a clinch.
Yurchon lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Saryev backwards.
Saryev misses with a knee strike.
Yurchon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Yurchon throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Saryev works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Saryev is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Yurchon lands a couple of elbows.

Yurchon throws an elbow that misses. Saryev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yurchon's guard. Nice move by Saryev!

Artur Saryev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Yurchon wants to stand but Saryev is controlling the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yurchon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Saryev has an Americana. Yurchon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Saryev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Saryev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
