Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joao Gabriel (ranked 4042 p4p, 4030 weight class) and Izrael Sanya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Gabriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Izrael Sanya!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanya blocks a leg kick.
Gabriel lands with a right hand.
Sanya gets the takedown into side control.
Sanya tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanya has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gabriel stops Sanya from passing to mount.
Sanya decides to stand back up. Sanya steps back and let's Gabriel get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gabriel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanya changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gabriel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gabriel dodges the ground and pound from Sanya.
Sanya is looking to take a break and control but Gabriel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sanya decides to stand back up. Sanya steps back and let's Gabriel get back to his feet.
Gabriel tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanya shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gabriel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gabriel throws a sloppy head kick and Sanya moves out of range easily.
Sanya blocks a head kick by Gabriel.
Sanya dives in and grabs Gabriel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gabriel pushes down on Sanya's head and hops out.
Gabriel scores with a hook.
Gabriel is breathing heavily.
Sanya takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gabriel looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gabriel stuffs the takedown.
Joao Gabriel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Izrael Sanya.
Sanya shoots in and bounces Gabriel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sanya throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Gabriel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanya on the ground.
Sanya drops back looking for a leg! Gabriel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gabriel manages to kick Sanya off! Sanya jumps back into Gabriel's guard.
Sanya is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joao Gabriel will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!
Sanya closes the distance and clinches up with Gabriel, looking for a takedown. Sanya pushes Gabriel against the cage but Gabriel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gabriel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gabriel lands a big head kick that sends Sanya tumbling to the mat! Gabriel takes a step backwards and waves Sanya back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Izrael Sanya has been cut.
Gabriel tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanya get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Sanya stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Gabriel runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joao Gabriel!
