This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Aeson Beckley! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Alvin Kaufman! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Beckley fails to land the takedown. Kaufman tries to counter by closing the distance. Kaufman has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kaufman gets caught flat footed, as Beckley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kaufman for as long as he can get away with. Beckley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beckley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kaufman controlling the position. Beckley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Beckley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beckley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Beckley showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Beckley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beckley wants to control from the top but Kaufman keeps moving. Beckley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. Beckley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kaufman looking for a sweep. Not yet Kaufman, not yet. Kaufman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beckley controls the pace.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Beckley continues to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kaufman can do anything to dispel that myth. Kaufman working a defensive guard here.
Beckley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kaufman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beckley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kaufman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beckley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beckley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Beckley drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Beckley as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kaufman screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Beckley! Nice submission victory there!
