Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potentat tries to clinch but Lambe moves out of range.
Lambe tries to keep at a distance but Potentat has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Potentat fails to land.
Potentat has Lambe pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Potentat pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lambe tumbling to the mat - Potentat dives into Lambe's guard.
Potentat wants to control from the top but Lambe keeps moving.

Potentat stopping the sweep attempt from Lambe.
Potentat passes Lambe's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potentat creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Lambe seems to have recovered his senses.
Lambe prevents Potentat from improving position.
Potentat cracks Lambe with an elbow. That is naaassty.
You can see the frustration on Lambe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Potentat connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lambe some visible discomfort.
Potentat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lambe manages to work his way to half guard, despite Potentat's best efforts.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Potentat landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Lambe told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
