Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Damionivitch Irwinivitch (ranked 3252 p4p, 2275 weight class) and Jack Ripley (ranked 198 p4p, 153 weight class). Irwinivitch comes into the arena with just the two of us blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jack Ripley enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwinivitch has closed the distance and engaged Ripley in a clinch.
Ripley breaks the clinch.
Irwinivitch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ripley throws an overhand right that lands on Irwinivitch's shoulder, as Irwinivitch tries to avoid the shot.
Irwinivitch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ripley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Irwinivitch somewhat.
It seemed like Ripley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Irwinivitch dives in for a single leg takedown but Ripley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ripley throws out a counter right but Irwinivitch avoids it with no problem.
Ripley breaks from the clinch.
Irwinivitch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ripley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ripley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Irwinivitch looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ripley just misses with a punch to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ripley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Irwinivitch.
Irwinivitch shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripley sprawls well. He's pushed Irwinivitch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ripley throws the left hand but Irwinivitch avoids the punch easily.

Ripley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Irwinivitch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Irwinivitch drives through and clinches with Ripley against the cage.

Irwinivitch jumps guard but Ripley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Irwinivitch is trying to break the clinch but Ripley has him pressed against the cage.

Irwinivitch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ripley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Irwinivitch has hold of Ripley's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ripley tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Irwinivitch cranks the arm and Ripley screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ripley, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Damionivitch Irwinivitch!
