Birdwhistle comes to the cage accompanied by Black Vultures - Halestorm. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Lysander Birdwhistle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fishbone Jones!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birdwhistle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones misses with a shot to the body
and Birdwhistle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Fishbone Jones has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Birdwhistle throws an off balance right hand
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
It looks like Lysander Birdwhistle has been cut.
Birdwhistle on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jones slips a jab from Birdwhistle.
Jones now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Birdwhistle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nice uppercut there from Jones.
Birdwhistle misses with a body shot
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Birdwhistle throws a right hand that misses
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Birdwhistle is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Birdwhistle blocks a jab.
A swing and a miss from Jones.
Birdwhistle lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Birdwhistle lands with an overhand left.

Birdwhistle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jones misses the jab.
A quick step to the side and Birdwhistle tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Birdwhistle slips a jab from Jones.
Birdwhistle looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Birdwhistle throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Birdwhistle 's knee.
Good standup being displayed there by Jones as he connects with a hook.
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Birdwhistle connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Birdwhistle throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jones counters with a huge left! Birdwhistle is in big trouble! He's backing up but Jones isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Birdwhistle from any more damage. A dominating finish by Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fishbone Jones!
After winning the bout, Fishbone Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Lysander Birdwhistle was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm trying to quit all my bad habits, so I hope this defeat is not the start of a new one.'.
