The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - ONeill throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Burns ducks down and throws a hook to the body but ONeill moves away.
Burns throws an uppercut from half a mile away. ONeill sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Burns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Burns working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. ONeill turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Burns off and cradles ONeill's limp body as Burns celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Simba Burns!
