Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladymyr Kersikov (ranked 434 p4p, 700 weight class) and Dean Gaines (ranked 54 p4p, 89 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kersikov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TheFatRat & Riell - Hiding in the Blue. Vladymyr Kersikov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladymyr Kersikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dean Gaines! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaines swings widly with a right hand
and Kersikov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Gaines throws a hook but Kersikov avoids it easily. Kersikov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gaines misses the jab. Gaines throws a right hand that misses
and Kersikov counters with a good, hard body kick but Gaines shrugs it off. Kersikov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kersikov throws a combination. Gaines tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kersikov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kersikov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gaines lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kersikov backs up against the cage.
 It looks like Vladymyr Kersikov has been cut. Gaines throws a series of punches but Kersikov moves out of range. Kersikov quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Gaines throws a body punch but Kersikov moves out of range. Kersikov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Dean Gaines seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kersikov throws a half hearted mid kick. Gaines comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gaines just misses with a punch to the body.
Gaines throws a combination that misses and Gaines takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 It looks like Dean Gaines has been cut. Kersikov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kersikov jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaines lands a really nice looking cross but Kersikov seems unphased.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. An inside leg kick from Kersikov misses. Gaines throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A shot to the body from Gaines misses and Kersikov counters with a stiff right hand. Gaines throws a sloppy body shot
and Kersikov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gaines works Kersikov's body with a nice hook.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaines takes a swing at Kersikov's ribcage but misses. Kersikov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kersikov thows a left - swing and a miss! Gaines throws a right hand that misses
enabling Kersikov to counter with a crisp jab. Kersikov cracks Gaines on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Gaines falls backwards against the cage. Kersikov follows up with more strikes that drop Gaines to his knees. Kersikov keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Gaines! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladymyr Kersikov! Vladymyr Kersikov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
