Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wala Sapi (ranked 23362 p4p, 23458 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Yawa Kiang enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 69 - 60 - 15, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 48 - 90 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kiang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kiang wants it to stay on the feet. Kiang is trying to counter with his kicks. Kiang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kiang is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Sapi gets caught napping as Kiang dives in and scores a takedown. Sapi manages to retain guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kiang. Sapi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sapi trying to strike off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kiang engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sapi. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wala Sapi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No luck for Sapi with that takedown attempt. Kiang replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Sapi blocks it well.
Kiang looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi won't allow Kiang to pass to mount. Sapi controlling the position well. Kiang sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sapi controlling the position for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kiang in particular looking to stall. Sapi trying to control from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang is figuring out what he wants to do next.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sapi shoots for a double leg takedown but Kiang sprawls well. He's pushed Sapi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Sapi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kiang is trying to control but can't.
Kiang is concentrating on defense, preventing Sapi from advancing position. Sapi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kiang is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi content to control rather than advance.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang wants to control but Sapi is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiang tries to roll over but Sapi keeps him under control.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kiang bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kiang slaps away a takedown attempt from Sapi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kiang only half commits to the counter leg kick. Sapi shoots in but Kiang avoids the takedown attempt easily. As Sapi backs off Kiang throws a huge counter combo but Sapi manages to avoid it all. Sapi looks for the body kick but Kiang saw that one coming.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi dives in and grabs Kiang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kiang pushes down on Sapi's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wala Sapi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sapi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sapi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kiang has one of Sapi's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Kiang is looking for a sweep.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kiang controls the position for a moment. Sapi happy to just control the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sapi in the domination position with Kiang hanging on. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kiang tries to kick Sapi off but Sapi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sapi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi is keen to just control but Kiang is a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang desperately trying to maintain half guard. Kiang is looking for a sweep. Sapi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sapi wants to stand up but Kiang is controlling the position.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kiang gets a takedown into half guard. Sapi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kiang prevents Sapi from improving his position. Sapi controlling the position for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sapi defending well though. Kiang slows the pace down in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Let's hope that Kiang has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Kiang shows good takedown defense. Kiang was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sapi sprawls well. Sapi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kiang gets slowly back to his feet. Sapi throws a quick counter kick to the body but Kiang avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Yawa Kiang. Well Kiang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
