Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Liu Xan (ranked 1693 p4p, 3632 weight class) and Nam Ram (ranked 136 p4p, 268 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liu Xan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nam Ram!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ram.
A little jabbing left from Ram on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Xan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice side step and Ram releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Liu Xan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ram takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ram slips under a jab from Xan.
Ram lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Xan throws a series of punches but Ram moves out of range.
Xan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Xan duly obliges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Xan loads up on a big right hand but Ram slips the punch.
Ram appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

and before Xan can reset, Ram rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Xan is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
Xan misses with a hook
and as Xan looks to reset his feet, Ram counters with a string of precision punches, right on the button, sending Xan crashing to the canvas! Xan is in big trouble here! The referee has started the count but Xan is so wobbly that the ref has given up the count at 6 - he's called the bout off! Ram is your winner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nam Ram!
