Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justa Fighta (ranked 2389 p4p, 3550 weight class) and Conner Mclovin (ranked 242 p4p, 343 weight class). Fighta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, NO FEAR - Falling in Reverse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Justa Fighta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conner Mclovin!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighta shoots in looking for a takedown. Mclovin tries to sprawl out of it but Fighta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mclovin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Conner Mclovin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighta shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mclovin sprawls well. Mclovin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighta gets slowly back to his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mclovin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

I was talking to Fighta's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
