Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason De Souza!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stevens did well to prevent De Souza getting side control.

De Souza tries to pass to full mount but Stevens defends it.
Stevens is trying to maintain the position but De Souza is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Souza has control of Stevens's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stevens regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stevens is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Stevens tries to improve his position but De Souza has taken his back! De Souza has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Stevens tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! De Souza pushes Stevens away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
