Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendon Carrillo-Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 34 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Destin Craven!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craven lunges at Carrillo-Moreno with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Carrillo-Moreno's hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Craven has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Craven fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Carrillo-Moreno.

Craven looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Craven prevents Carrillo-Moreno from improving his position.
Carrillo-Moreno is trying to control but can't.
Carrillo-Moreno's coaches at London MMA Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Carrillo-Moreno makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Carrillo-Moreno.

Carrillo-Moreno had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Craven defends it easily.
Carrillo-Moreno pulls Craven in close to his closed guard and prevents Craven from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Craven lands a couple of digs.
Craven postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Carrillo-Moreno is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Craven is staying active underneath Carrillo-Moreno, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Craven moves into full guard.

Craven escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carrillo-Moreno gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carrillo-Moreno thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Craven wants to stand but Carrillo-Moreno is controlling the position.
Craven keeping moving, preventing Carrillo-Moreno from controlling successfully.
Carrillo-Moreno is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Craven is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Craven working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carrillo-Moreno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carrillo-Moreno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Craven is trying to control the position but Carrillo-Moreno postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Carrillo-Moreno got a little sloppy there for a moment and Craven has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carrillo-Moreno has managed to get both his arms back between Craven's legs - danger averted.

Carrillo-Moreno drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Craven dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Craven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carrillo-Moreno works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Craven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carrillo-Moreno swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Craven lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Craven loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Craven postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Craven trying to control the position from guard on top but Carrillo-Moreno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carrillo-Moreno lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Craven is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carrillo-Moreno is aware though and is defending well.

Carrillo-Moreno is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Craven is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Craven has escaped and now he's on top!

Carrillo-Moreno trying to keep a closed guard but Craven is proving a slippery customer.

Craven stands up over Carrillo-Moreno, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Craven throws a sloppy strike and Carrillo-Moreno has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Craven is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Carrillo-Moreno!
