Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Brownweather (ranked 3027 p4p, 3406 weight class) and Rod Rice (ranked 229 p4p, 258 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quentin Brownweather! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rod Rice! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice forces Brownweather back against the cage and clinches. Rice lands a nice elbow. Rice lands a nice elbow.
 It looks like Quentin Brownweather has been cut. Brownweather fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Brownweather tries to pull guard but Rice won't allow it.
Rice has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brownweather regains guard immediately. Rice preventing the sweep.
Brownweather has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rice can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rice loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rice postures up in Brownweather's guard and throws a big left but Brownweather blocks it. Rice is looking to work some ground and pound but Brownweather has wrist control. Brownweather looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rice is one step ahead there. Rice landing with the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rice trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rice avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rice throws a strike but Brownweather rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Rice is looking to stand up but Brownweather isn't so interested in that idea. Brownweather advances to half guard.

Brownweather is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rice is just riding it out for now. Brownweather eventually gives up the hold.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brownweather is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rice has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rice looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Brownweather pushes past his half guard into mount!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Brownweather scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rice?
Brownweather looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Brownweather throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rice because Brownweather loaded up on that one. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brownweather is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Brownweather extends the arm and Rice is forced to tap!
