Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ruben Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonid Zakharov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zakharov counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Zakharov's shoulder, as Zakharov tries to avoid the shot.
Good leg kick by Zakharov.
Zakharov walks into a stiff left hand from Smith.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Zakharov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Zakharov counters with a left and a right that hurts Smith! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Zakharov jumps into full mount!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ruben Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Zakharov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zakharov seems to be stalking Smith here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Smith drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Leonid Zakharov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
