Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reid Erickson (ranked 2149 p4p, 1594 weight class) and John Paul (ranked 233 p4p, 179 weight class). John Paul is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reid Erickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Paul!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erickson misses with a hook
and Paul counters by moving into the clinch.
Paul has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Erickson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Reid Erickson will probably get the nod.

Paul circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Erickson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Paul follows Erickson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Paul!
After the fight, John Paul was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
