Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Chikorita (ranked 3252 p4p, 2853 weight class) and Yakami Sansho (ranked 332 p4p, 291 weight class). Sansho has chosen Sordid by Amon Tobin as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Barry Chikorita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Yakami Sansho!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Sansho does it's job there.
Chikorita drives through with a takedown into Sansho's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sansho is looking for a triangle but Chikorita pushes his legs off easily.
We've been hearing good reports from Chikorita's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sansho is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sansho clobbers Chikorita with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sansho throws a lazy right hand but Chikorita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chikorita shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Chikorita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sansho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chikorita.

Chikorita throws some wild stikes that Sansho manages to avoid easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chikorita seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sansho is holding on tight.
Chikorita sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Chikorita feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sansho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chikorita swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Barry Chikorita overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chikorita has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sansho should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chikorita has tightened it up now! Sansho should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
