Sparr comes to the cage accompanied by OH NO!. John Henry Holliday has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Roger Sparr's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Sparr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, John Henry Holliday! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holliday but Holliday pushes him off and we're back to square one. Holliday walks into a jab. Holliday lands with a shot to the body. Holliday throws out a loose jab but Sparr uses good head movement to avoid it. Sparr half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sparr ducks under a wild hook from Holliday. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holliday looks to score with a jab to the body but Sparr is just out of range. Sparr misses with a wild body shot. Holliday needs to keep his hands up - Sparr had a free shot at his head there.

Holliday lands a big uppercut and Sparr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sparr looks OK. Holliday waves Sparr back to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

 Sparr is rocked! Sparr looks to throw the jab but Holliday is out of range. Oh Sparr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sparr has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Holliday moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Sparr lands a jab to the nose. Sparr seems to have got his legs back now.

Sparr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hollidays jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Holliday avoids the body shot from Sparr.

and Holliday counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Holliday cracks Sparr with a good jab. Holliday takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sparr loads up on a big right hand but Holliday slips the punch. Holliday looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Sparr scores with a hook. Sparr missing with a left hand there. Holliday was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Holliday throws a lazy right hand but Sparr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sparr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Holliday swivels and escapes.

and Sparr counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Holliday! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!  That's five minutes gone in the round. Sparr trying to control the action but Holliday is working from the bottom. Holliday can't do much from the bottom here. Holliday is not content to let Sparr control the position. Sparr tries to move to mount but Holliday blocks the move with his legs.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sparr creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Holliday sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sparr sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Holliday is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sparr grinds an elbow into Holliday's temple. Holliday is not content to let Sparr control the position. Sparr misses with the ground and pound. Holliday felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Sparr wants to control but Holliday is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sparr is trying to ground and pound but Holliday uses the momentary lack of control by Sparr to regain half guard.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Sparr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holliday keeps working. Holliday on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sparr missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sparr slows the pace down in half guard. Sparr is keen to just control but Holliday is a slippery customer. Sparr is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Holliday blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sparr. Sparr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Holliday keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sparr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Holliday knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sparr in particular looking to stall. Holliday is staying active underneath Sparr, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Holliday wants to control but Sparr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sparr throws a lazy right hand but Holliday sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That was a close round but I would say that Roger Sparr will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Sparr is working for a kimura but Holliday is defending it quite comfortably.
Sparr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Roger Sparr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sparr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Holliday knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sparr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holliday does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sparr missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sparr is just content to waste time from the top position. Holliday takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Sparr is looking to work some ground and pound but Holliday has wrist control. Sparr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sparr throwing strikes but missing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Holliday holds on and takes a little breather. Holliday can't keep his opponent in guard - Sparr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sparr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sparr drops an elbow to the side of Holliday's head. Sparr misses with a head shot. Holliday uses the momentum to regain guard. Sparr trying to control the position from guard on top but Holliday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sparr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sparr is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Sparr wants to control from the top but Holliday keeps moving. Sparr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sparr landing with the ground and pound. Holliday lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sparr pulls Holliday in close to his closed guard and prevents Holliday from doing any damage or advancing position. Holliday won't allow Sparr to sweep him here. Sparr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Holliday has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sparr to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Holliday is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sparr pulls down on the head and he's put Holliday to sleep! This one is all over!
