Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Snake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Snake persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing. Snake misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Snake with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sea Snake. That's going to take a lot out of him. Snake is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Snake to the ground. Smith is now in Snake's guard. Snake looking for the RNC. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake is trying to stick to Smith's back but Smith is turning into Snake. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Snake's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Smith. Snake looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Smith passes into side control.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Smith controlling from side mount. Smith tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Snake is letting Smith control him for a moment. Snake wants to control but Smith postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Snake is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Snake (8) vs (7) Smith The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith is in bad spot here.
Snake has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Smith is defending well but eventually Snake manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Smith has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
